Dear Matriculate community,
Our work at Matriculate is rooted in the mission of helping high-achieving students from low-income communities attend colleges where they will thrive. Of course, we are far from the only organization focused on this goal — and over the years, we have drawn inspiration and motivation from the work of others doing transformative work to help close college access gaps.
QuestBridge has always been one of the organizations we’ve admired most. Their national reach, comprehensive support for students, and commitment to helping students build communities that last through college and beyond distinguish them as a leader in expanding access to educational opportunity. That’s why we’re so excited to share that Matriculate and QuestBridge are collaborating to provide near-peer advising and support to select participants in QuestBridge’s College Prep Scholars program.
Designed for high school juniors from low-income communities, the College Prep Scholars Program is designed to help students build not just the knowledge and skills, but also the confidence, to navigate the application process and pursue opportunities at the country’s top colleges. Together with QuestBridge, Matriculate will now provide access to 1:1 advising to hundreds of students participating in the program. Juniors selected for the Matriculate Award will meet regularly with trained undergraduate advising fellows as they begin their application process, bringing together QuestBridge’s national student community with Matriculate’s unique approach to near-peer connection and support.
We’re excited to work with QuestBridge to help more students across the country access support that can help them navigate the college admissions process. For more information, reach out to communications@matriculate.org.
