Cecilia Grano De Oro brings extensive experience in development, fundraising, career counseling, and college access across a diverse landscape that includes both secondary and post-secondary institutions, as well as nonprofit education organizations, including as a Director of National Foundation Partnerships at Teach For America supporting efforts to drive meaningful, sustainable systems change within the education ecosystem. Most recently, she was the Director of Foundation & Corporate Partnerships at Code/Art, a South Florida-based nonprofit broadening access to computer science and STEM learning opportunities for girls and young women from underrepresented backgrounds and communities through a lens of art, creativity, and social good. As a fundraiser, Cecilia has built meaningful relationships with both foundation and corporate partners in support of education nonprofits, especially pathways that strengthen the capacity for young people to access educational opportunities that are equitable and inclusive. Outside of the nonprofit space, she spent eight years serving in various college counseling roles, including as a school-based counselor and in a volunteer capacity with other nonprofit college access organizations, such as Breakthrough Miami and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). Cecilia earned two Master of Science in Education degrees from the University of Miami (Higher Education Administration; Mental Health Counseling), as well as her Bachelor of Arts degree, also from the University of Miami. Born and raised in South Florida, Cecilia enjoys the year-round warm weather, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
