“My Advising Fellow, Evan, was essential throughout my journey applying to college. While he contributed to more literal matters like helping to edit my essays and research different scholarship opportunities with me, I think the most helpful part of Evan’s presence was how friendly he was. He answered all of my questions, and was very easy to talk to, never making me feel overwhelmed or rushed with the college process. Evan also was extremely flexible with my busy schedule and wouldn’t mind pushing meetings back, rescheduling, or changing the way we met to better fit with what I needed.
While both my parents and siblings went to college, applying was a unique experience for me due to the FAFSA delays as well as the different components required to apply to certain schools. Evan not only stayed on top of FAFSA information, updating me whenever he was able, but also conducted mock interviews with me to make sure I was prepared after applying to certain schools. I can comfortably say that without Evan, I wouldn’t be where I am today and I thank him for his assistance in my college application journey :)”
